BACKGROUND

Miliswa Consultancy is a recently established 100% black woman owned company with focus on providing a Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality (SHERQ), rehabilitation of contaminated sites etc.

Our solutions are custom designed, developed also implemented in a cost-effective manner suited to meet our clients’ needs.

We also offer auditing services for various systems and standards across different industries to meet statutory and other requirements, to ensure continual improvement of management systems.

Miliswa Puling (founder), has over 20 years’ experience within the SHERQ fraternity and development, implementation and auditing of SHERQ systems. Miliswa has worked both for the municipalities, parastatals mining companies and institution of higher learning (University), Sol Plaatje Municipality, Gasegonyana Municipality, Ekapa Mining, Xstrata-Merafe Ferrochrome Mine, Rand Water Board, Eskom, Transnet. Her academic qualifications, National Diploma & B-Tech Environmental Health, Certificate in Management advancement Programme, and Master of Business Administration (MBA).

MISSION
Our mission is to provide our clients with premiere Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality Environmental Management as well as Occupational Hygiene, Management services designed to reduce workplace injuries and illness which promotes client profitability.

SERVICES

Develop programme and procedures for recording, reporting and investigation of all non-conformances, incidents and accidents, this includes: procedure development, incident registers development and management, record and investigate all reported incidents and non-conformances.

ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, 31000:2018, 9001:2015, 22000:2018 services offered include development, implementation and maintenance of client specific Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, Quality & Food Safety Management systems.

ISO 2200 is extended to include the HACCP (Hazzard Analysis Critical Control Point) principles. HACCP is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.

We assess companies involved in all stages of the food supply chain, from producers of raw materials, animal feeds, caterers and food manufacturers, transportation companies including the retailers. In addition, we develop or align with current systems and implement an internationally recognized food safety system. Including the monitoring of the entire food supply chain in gaining customer confidence.

Process involves hazard identification, classification, and evaluation with or without controls on the identified risks. Also helps with, identifying and listing hazards, classify, analyse and rating of risks as well as developing controls and mitigation measures/strategies to increase safety levels.

Environmental audits & due diligence,

Training included but not limited to, staff awareness, auditor training and mentoring:

Environmental rehabilitation/remediation e.g., rehabilitation of contaminated sites,
Occupational hygiene surveys: lighting, ergonomics, noise,
Waste management following a waste hierarchy e.g., waste removal; waste disposal
Water management i.e., monitoring & quality control;
Air quality management.
Specialist studies: Authorisations; permits and licenses, (EIA, Basic assessment, waste license, water use permits)
